Appointed March 10,1969, Retired June 2,1989. Worked in Districts 1, 4, 33, CSPS, CWAC, FEU, CWPS, and E & S. Served as PBA Delegate, Trustee on the Security Benefits Fund, and the PBA Scholarship Committee (Bill McKechnie Administration). Relocated to New Port Richey, Florida in August 1989 with my wife Barbara and children Christine and Louis. September 1990 began working as a Driver Examiner for the Florida Division of Drivers License in, Port Richey Fl, until February 3, 2003 when I began working for Mike Olson, Pasco County Tax Collector doing the same driver license duties.

William (Woody) Wood
Appointed June 1,1966, retired June 3,1981. Worked District 22A, 32C, 33A, 33, the first 18 month on job. Then worked in District 1 until I retired. Moved to Holiday, FL June 6, 1981 with my wife Julie and sons Billy and Stevie. Worked various job until I became a correction Officer in 1982 then I joined the US Coast Guard Reserve in 1983.In1985 I became a Deputy Sheriff and retired July 1997 and now I am still in the reserves awaiting my retirement.

Appointed April 3,1972, I worked the following assignments in my 22 -1/2 years OTJ, Dist # 4, 20, 22a, 31. Feb. 1985 I was detached to NYPD Warrant Squad out of the 78 Pct. Promoted to Detective 3rd Grade 1990 and retired in 1994 from the NYCTPD Warrant Squad. Right after I retired I moved to Spring Hill Fl. with my wife Mary and my son John. I am presently employed at Heritage Pines Country Club Golf Pro Shop in Hudson Fl.

Bill Mc Kechnie
was appointed to the Transit Police in June of 1965. Serving in Dist 3, 1, 4 ,where I served as delegate from 1966 to 1975, and TEU. In 1978 I became the youngest person to be elected to the position of PBA president and I went on to hold that position for eleven years, making me the longest serving president in TPBA history. In 1990 I retired and took a position as the Chief Executive Assistant to the Charles J. Hynes , the District Attorney of Kings County. In my position I was responsible for all contract disciplinary and grievance matters with nine unions representing the non-legal staff. I was also responsible for all budgetary matters and spending oversight. In 2001 I retired from that position and now spend time with my wife Diane Mckechnie who served as the State Crime Victims Commissioner, and in the Giuliani administration as the Commissioner of Community Development and the Taxi and Limousine Commissioner for the City of New York. Diane also retired in 2001. We spend our time at our homes in the Pocono Mountains in PA and Hobe Sound Fl. We are the proud parents of five children and eight grand children.
